From August 2002 starting with Amanda Spakes' article in US News & World Report to the August 2004 National Geographic, the U.S. press told the whole truth about obesity. With immediate good results. McDonalds aborted their "Get a Big Mac for One Penny More" and advertised their improved salads. Kraft downsized its snack foods. New plates, cups and glasses on sale were smaller. Coca Cola brought back the 8 oz bottle. Well-done studies will show that our national weight declined a little in 2003 and 2004. More...
