Reducing the Side Effects of Topamax
In a dose of 100-200 mg daily, Topamax is a very useful appetite supressant for very obese people, but 25-30% of the patients don't tolerate the drug due to its dysphoric side-effects, that is causing causing sadness or sorrow or discontent. It makes some people feel woozy and causes tingling sensations in the extremities. I have learned that the major source of this side-effect is the fact that Topamax is a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor.
