Timing of Meals

A big reason why the French are leaner than we are is that the majority of them eat their largest meal in midday, from 12:20 to 2:30 PM. The meal is eaten slowly, with friends or other distractions. The French are not crazy workaholics.
I am not saying by this that food eaten at night is more likely to be stored as fat. That myth was destroyed by a study in 1998, and should never be mentioned again. You can look at the globe and see that in the countries around the world where people eat late, i.e. the hot countries, people are the leanest.
If you eat little or no breakfast and hardly get lunch, you are very hungry by the time you get home. People start to eat, and with no distractions or culture or books or hobbies to divert them, they keep eating. The life of a base animal. Phentermine taken in the morning is largely gone by the time dieters eat.
A little biochemistry. Three neurotransmitters. (NA) in the brain is highest in the morning, allowing you to focus, think and inhibit impulses. By the evening NA falls. Everyone has ADD at night. is lowest in the morning and rises in late afternoon, making people more emotional and impulsive. Late at night rises, shutting everything down and putting you to sleep. You see why, at night, you don’t have good judgment about eating.
Working people with a boss may have difficulty getting time to enjoy a decent, social lunch, but anyone with control of their schedule has no excuse. They ought to adopt the French model.
